How it works
- 1Claim your free account name
Your username doubles as your invite code, so your link is literally yours: colormemorygame.com/?invite=you. Already have an account? You already have the link — it’s above, and on your account page.
- 2Send it to actual humans
Group chats, Discord servers, a class WhatsApp, your bio — the link works anywhere. Friends land straight on the game; no install, no paywall, nothing to buy. Ever.
- 3They claim a name and play one game
That’s what makes a recruit count. The claim has to happen inside the challenge window (10 July – 10 August 2026, UTC) — the first signed-in game can come any time after. Friends who already play but never made an account count too, the moment they claim their name from your link.
- 4Everyone gets paid either way
Every recruit banks a streak freeze for both of you (up to 5), auto-adds you as friends, and pushes your invite flair through its 1 / 3 / 5 milestones. The $25 just sits on top for whoever recruits the most.
What counts (and what doesn’t)
- Counts:A new player who opens your link, claims a free account name between 10 July – 10 August 2026 (23:59 UTC), and plays at least one game while signed in — any mode counts.
- Counts:Friends who’ve played anonymously before but claim their first account through your link.
- Doesn't count:Existing account holders. An account can only ever be credited to one inviter, at the moment it’s created — there’s no switching recruiters later.
- Doesn't count:Sign-ups that never play. Until your friend finishes a game, they show as “waiting” on your status above and don’t move the board.
- Doesn't count:You, wearing a fake moustache. Self-invites, duplicate accounts, disposable-email chains, and bot sign-ups don’t count — see fair play below.
Ties break to whoever reached the winning total first. Standings are counted when an account is claimed, not when the link is clicked — a click today that claims after the deadline earns the normal invite rewards but no entry.
Fair play
One account per person — that’s the whole social contract here. The structural checks (a real email, a claimed name, a finished game per recruit) filter out most mischief on their own, and the rest gets caught the old-fashioned way: before paying out, we audit the winning account’s recruit list — sign-up cadence, play depth, whether the “friends” ever came back. Twelve accounts created in one evening that each played exactly one game is not a friend group; it’s a spreadsheet.
Engineered recruits are removed from the count. Egregious abuse disqualifies the account from the challenge entirely. If someone finds a genuinely creative loophole, we may close it mid-event and will note any rule change on this page. Calls on all of the above are ours and final — the prize is $25, please don’t make us write more rules.
The prize
We email the winner at their account address within 3 days of the deadline and send the prize within 14. If the winner doesn’t reply within 14 days or doesn’t clear the fair-play audit, the prize rolls down to the next player on the board. The result gets announced right here.
